He was born in Ioannina on November 16, 1982, he is 1.70m tall and he belongs to the Spartakos Club in Ioannina. His hobby is motorcycles. His debut in the menís category was when he participated in the World Championships in Warsaw (2002), but he was injured during the snatch. Two years later, in the Menís European Championships in Kiev (2004) he won the silver medal in the snatch.
